Marianas Golf Association president J.J. Atalig is reminding all winners of their Ace of the Month tournaments to come early for the December monthly tournament next week or get disqualified.

“[I want] to inform monthly winners to be on time for proper pairing. If they should be late there is a possibility that they’ll be disqualified from the Ace of Aces championship,” said Atalig in an email.

MGA’s final monthly tournament will be held next week, Dec. 5, at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort’s east course. Showtime is at 8am and tee off starts at 9am sharp.

The December Ace, next Saturday, will also be the first day of MGA’s Ace of Aces Championship where the 12 monthly winners will vie for the yearend crown.

Jonny Sablan is the latest Ace of the Month winner after clinching the November monthly title that earns a spot on MGA’s final tournament. He won despite a bogey-filled round.

Harry Nakamura (January), Calvin Yamagishi (February), Jess Seman (March), Erlinda Naputi (April), Jenny Hegland (May), Chandler DeLoatch (June), Jay Muna (July), Geri Dela Cruz (August), Louie Tilipao (September), and Ned Norita (October), are the other monthly winners.

Joey Dela Cruz (vice president), Geri Dela Cruz (secretary), James Benavente (treasurer), DeLoatch (tournament director), and Jerry Ayuyu (handicap chairman) are the other MGA officers.

MGA was established three years ago and now has 30 active members made up of young and senior, rookies and veterans, and men and women CNMI residents who enjoy playing golf.
