Assault and battery incident at CHC
Three months after a warrant was issued for his arrest, police finally arrested Patrick Romolor Litulumar at his home in Koblerville.
Litulumar, who is accused of head-butting a security personnel at the Commonwealth Health Center in an attempt to avoid an injection, was arrested after being off-island.
According to the police statement last week, the CNMI Department of Public Safety received a 911 call requesting for police assistance last July 24, 2019, at about 4:11am, at the Commonwealth Health Center in Garapan. DPS dispatched units to the area.
Upon arriving at the scene, police met with a nurse who directed them to an on-duty security guard. The security guard stated that they were called to assist a nurse, as a patient, later identified as Litulumar, was giving the nurse a difficult time to administer a shot. Security attempted to hold Litulumar to allow the nurse to safely administer the shot. The patient then allegedly head-butted the security in the face, forcing them to fall. The security guard sustained bruising and a swollen left eye.
When police arrived, they assisted holding Litulumar in place for the nurse to administer the shot. The patient was then transported to the Department of Corrections where he was later released.
On Nov. 14, 2019, an arrest warrant was signed and issued by the Associate Judge Teresa Kim-Tenorio. Upon receiving the arrest warrant, police learned that Litulumar was off-island.
Litulumar was finally arrested by police at his home in Koblerville last Feb. 19, 2020, at about 3:56pm. The police report did not indicate how long Litulumar had been off-island. (PR)
