Asia Dive Expo Singapore includes the Marianas

Diving in the Marianas reached a whole new audience as the Marianas Visitors Authority joined Asia Dive Expo Singapore on April 11-14, 2019, at the Suntec City Exhibition Center in Singapore.
ADEX is the largest and longest running dive consumer and trade show in Asia and attracted over 60,000 visitors this year to the Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The MVA was joined by Guam Visitors Bureau and Palau Visitors Authority in a Micronesia booth that allowed them to promote their respective destinations and the region, as a whole.
“The dive expo serves as one of the best platforms for divers to catch up and share their latest underwater exploits,” said acting MVA managing director Judy Torres. “But more importantly, it allows a conducive environment for ocean lovers to learn about how they can best combat climate change and protect ocean species. In this regard, our Marianas Ocean tourism ambassador, Yorko Summer, joined us once again and was a tremendous asset in sharing about Rota, Tinian, and Saipan based on his experience as a diver, underwater photographer, lecturer, and ocean advocate.”
The MVA received an award for Outstanding Contribution to Dive Tourism as part of the event. The agency also hosted the seminar “Diving in the Marianas” on April 12, where Summer was joined by Junho Lee of the Northern Marianas Diving Operators Association and Nana Tsang of Ocean Free, who shared about the multitude of dive experiences available in the Marianas. Summer also promoted the underwater scenery of the Marianas with photos and videos at a special presentation during the expo on April 14. (MVA)
