They arrived last April 6 and were welcomed by the Manta Ray Battalion representatives along with their instructor, (R) CSM Richard Basa. In preparation of their arrival, the Manta Ray Battalion companies made colorful banners to welcome them, they thanked the cadets for the warm welcome. The following day, they went to Saipan Southern High School, where they were briefed about the JROTC program of the Manta Ray Battalion and other battalions in the CNMI. Aside from that, they were also given a brief introduction of the island and historical facts. After the briefing, they joined the instructors and about 60 cadets for a hearty lunch. They loved it! Before they left, CSM Gabriel S. Arnold talked to the cadets about pursuing all the possible opportunities available to them. After the speech, they took a photo with the Manta Ray Battalion cadets and their instructors, (R) CSM Richard Basa, and (R) SGM Joaquin Kyoshi.
