Appreciation message to participants

This is to express our sincere gratitude to all participants of the first sunset celebration of the Carolinian songs from the traditional to the contemporary music held last July at the Carolinian Utt, which was co-sponsored by the Rematao Music Society, Inc.

This includes the different Carolinian singing artists from young to old like Alfred Saures, Rodney Ilo, Archelene, Jonathan “J.J.” Joe Norita, Aguon, Raymond Peter, Abdon Kaipat, and Emi Palican.

They showcased the favorite songs from the ’60s to the ’80s and even the present recording songs. It was a good crowd and many of them were shouting: “extend more hours” singing and dancing. We are grateful that not only Carolinians participants, but they were a mix of Filipinos, Chamorros, Chinese, Koreans, Americans, and even our Micronesian brothers were enjoying themselves.

We also extend our Ghirisow and Si Yuus Ma’ase to the executive assistant to Carolinian Affairs Office, HJuan Itibus Tagabuel, and the Governor’s Office. We cannot forget to also thank our sponsors of the sound system, Marvin Seman; Coca Cola and other hard-working members of the Rematao Music Society, Inc. that coordinated and contributed local food and drinks. Thank you again and God bless us all.
