Young ladies in the CNMI are being encouraged to be a part of the 2019 CNMI Liberation Day Royal Court, one of the signature events of the annual Liberation Festivities.

“We are encouraging all our young women who are looking to be actively involved in the community to apply for this unique opportunity,” said Royal Court Committee Chair Bridget Maratita. “We have exciting activities lined up for our Liberation Festivities in July. Being a part of the royal court will truly give each young lady an opportunity to be bold and to play an active role within our great community through events and fundraising.”

Applications are now available at the Saipan Mayor’s Office in San Jose. Email nmiliberation@gmail.com for more information.

Applications are due on Monday, April 22, 2019 and can be turned into the Saipan Mayor’s Office or via email.

Community volunteerism will be the guiding principle in organizing the 2019 CNMI Liberation Day Royal Court and other main activities.

Applicants must be young females from the ages of 14 to 22 years old with good academic standing and moral ethical character. Applicants are encouraged to join and boost their portfolio as an active community volunteer.

“Beauty begins, the moment you decide to embrace it within yourself,” said 2018 CNMI Liberation Day Queen Brinae Jessilyn Maratita Cruz. “This is an unforgettable experience to gain new friendships, gain confidence in one’s self, and engage with the community. Learn to empower the strength you have, enhance the beauty within you, and prosper bigger dreams. As for being the 2018 Liberation Day Queen, it has brought so much tears of joy. I have met so much wonderful people. This is all such a learning experience, yet memorable memories are made out of it!”

Each candidate will have the ability to sell Liberation Day raffle tickets to raise funds and host other various approved fundraisers.

The 2019 CNMI Liberation Day Committee is preparing the official raffle prizes with an announcement to come out soon. The Liberation Day Royal Court titleholders are determined by the amount of money each candidate raises through the sale of raffle tickets.
