Another staff holding a critical position at the Commonwealth Casino Commission has resigned, leaving the CCC with only 11 personnel, including its executive director, Andrew Yeom.

At the CCC board’s monthly meeting last, Yeom disclosed that Division of Audit and Compliance manager Leonard Leon is resigning effective this Friday.

Yeom told Saipan Tribune yesterday that they will remain at 12 personnel because they will soon hire someone to replace Leon.

At last week’s meeting, Yeom said he and the remaining staff will have to pick up the slack as much as they can in the meantime.

“However, I hope to quickly hire at least one person with casino audit and compliance experience to fill the crucial role,” he said.

Yeom used to hold the position.

CCC’s Enforcement and Investigations manager Vicente B. Babauta also resigned last September.

From 39 employees last May, CCC’s number of personnel has dwindled due to the termination of several employees as a result of budget constraint and resignation of others.
