AMP offers paid internship opportunity

National Park Service officials would like to inform the public of federal career opportunities at the American Memorial Park.

The park just opened a vacancy announcement for a student trainee (park guide), a part-time temporary position. Applicants must be accepted for enrollment or enrolled in a degree or certificate program on at least a half-time basis and in good standing.  The pay rate begins at $13.84 per hour, plus 13.70 percent cost of living allowance and federal benefits. 

This position is responsible for performing interpretive services as a park guide involving duties such as guiding tours of the visitor center, interpreting natural and historic park features, answering visitor questions, posting to social media, documenting park statistics, assisting with special events, and providing miscellaneous services to visitors.

The vacancy announcement will be open from Oct. 20 to Oct. 26 (eastern standard time).
