The American Memorial Park and its non-profit partner, Pacific Historic Parks, invite Saipan youth ages 6-8 to participate in the “Soldier Skills” summer camp program.

This will be the second year that participants will have the opportunity to learn about the mission of the park through fun activities during the three-day camp. Highlights include a guided tour of the museum and memorials, as well as orienteering with compasses and GPS (global positioning system) devices.

The Soldier Skills summer camp will be held on July 11-13, from 9am to 12pm.

To register your child, stop by the American Memorial Park Visitor Center and complete a registration form. Space for the camp is limited. Applications will be accepted at the park and youths will be enrolled on a first come, first served basis.

To learn more about these programs or other happenings at the park, contact Pacific Historic Parks education specialist Jovannalyn Mafnas at 234-7207 or 2020 or email jmafnas@pacifichistoricparks.org or Ranger Brooke Nevitt at brooke_nevitt@nps.gov. (NPS)
