A company filed a lawsuit against American Sinopan LLC yesterday for allegedly failing to pay at least $80,000 in construction contracting services for the Heaven II Hotel on Capital Hill.

Yantze Corp., through counsel Mark A. Scoggins, is suing American Sinopan for breach of contract and unjust enrichment before the U.S. District Court for the NMI. Yantze is demanding actual damages, interest, and attorney’s fees,

Saipan Tribune tried to obtain comments from American Sinopan, but the company’s number listed in the phone directory is not in service.

Scoggins said the sole member of American Sinopan is Imperial Pacific Real Estate & Hotel Management Company Limited, a British Virgin Islands company.

Scoggins said that Yantze entered into an agreement with American Sinopan LLC in October 2017, agreeing to provide construction contracting services for the Heaven II Hotel.

The lawyer said American Sinopan has failed to pay amounts owed under the agreement in the amount of at least $80,000.

He said American Sinopan has breached the agreement with Yantze and is unjustly enriched by the services that Yantze provided.
