DUE TO LOGISTICAL REQUIREMENT FOR FUNERAL

‘All law enforcers tasked to work together’

All local law enforcement agencies were tasked to work together for the funeral of the late governor Eloy S. Inos, particularly since the event required tremendous logistical requirement and manpower.

“We shared responsibilities,” according to acting Department of Public Safety commissioner Robert A. Guerrero yesterday.

Guerrero said the task force that Gov. Ralph DLG Torres organized for the funeral was composed of all local law enforcement agencies in the Commonwealth and not just DPS.

He said DPS would not have been able to do it alone.

He said other law enforcement agencies involved were Customs, Division of Fish and Wildlife, Homeland Security, Parole, Probation, Fire Department, Marshals, and Department of Corrections.

Guerrero said the Customs director handled the VIP dignitaries.

“We pick up the loads where the shortfall is and somebody covers it,” he said. “We actually work together.”

Guerrero said they update Torres on a daily basis as far as what’s going on with the operations.
