A total of 45 seniors graduated from Tinian High School, the lone high school on Tinian, last week, led by class valedictorian Jerica B. Aldan.

Aldan herself looks forward to attending Clark College in the state of Washington to study psychology. She then plans to transfer to a university to double major in psychology and criminal justice, but Aldan clarified that the decision is not yet final.

“I have a feeling I might change my major, so I’ll see how it plays out. I want to start off with community college because it’s more financially convenient,” she said.

Aldan also mentioned that she plans to serve the military through the U.S. Air Force but that remains to be seen.

“I have problems that will hinder that opportunity, so [once I address] that problem and have the chance to enlist, I will,” she said.

The THS Class of 2017 salutatorian is Patricia Joy S. San Nicolas, the daughter of Tinian and Aguiguan Mayor Joseph Patrick San Nicolas, himself a THS alumnus and class valedictorian during his time.

The Top 10 for the Class of 2017 includes Aldan, San Nicolas, Gerald K. Crisostomo Jr., Michael Naputi, Leslie L. Guintu, Brandon B. Santos, Elton M. Hofschneider, Aira de Castro Cabahug, Peter D. Anore, and John Z. Mithnoy Jr.
