The Aimeliik Bat Boys’ stacked lineup pummeled No Choice, 13-6, in the start of the 2023 Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball Association Slow Pitch Open League last Sunday at the DanDan Softball Field.
No Choice had no choice but to hand over the win to the Bat Boys when the Boys put up seven runs in the fourth inning after their three-run first inning. At this point, No Choice had already scored all six of their runs after being shut down in two innings and were in a four -run deficit.
The Bat Boys’ offense were not done putting up runs as scored two more in the fifth and a pinch-hit home run by Roy Norita made it a 13-6 game.
No Choice could not get past zero runs through the rest of the game as Bat Boys’ pitcher and BASA vice president, McQueen Masaharu shutdown their lineup in order, 1-2-3.
Blue Jays 8, Ready Mix 2
The Blue Jays flew out of the batters’ box in a hurry as lead off batter James Salalila hit a single, who then scored on a double by Kier Agda. Agda then rounded the bases after a two-RBI home run by E.J. Cabrera.
Two more runs scored as Kyle Foreman hit a home run that brought home Salalila in the third inning for a 5-0 lead.
Ready Mix wasn’t read for what was coming as they put up zeroes in four innings and only scored two in the fifth inning. They couldn’t find holes in the Blue Jays’ defense and pitching as they were subsequently shut down in the last two innings.
The Blue Jays’ first three batters were busy in this game as Salalila, Forman, and Agda got on base again and were driven home by singles from the middle and end of the lineup.
Just 4 Fun 13, TuTuramZ 1
Just 4 Fun had way too much fun as they defeated TuTuramZ, 13-1, in a mercy-ruled game.
The only run by TuTuramZ came in the first inning after Jaime Reyes scored. The rest of the game, they couldn’t score or even get on base save for one batter.
Meanwhile, Just 4 Fun scored four in the first, three in the second, two in the third, and four in the fourth inning. It was cut short in the fifth when TuTuramZ could not produce any more runs.
Kebruka 12, Seaweed Vibes 1
Kebruka destroyed the good vibes of Seaweed Vibes after they beat them, 12-1, in another mercy-ruled game.
It was a quiet game for Seaweed Vibes as they scored just one in the first inning, while Kebruka put up two. Kebruka ended up with four more in the third and then five in the fourth inning.
