Agri-Fair organizers extend deadline
The organizers of the upcoming 35th Annual Saipan Agricultural Fair have announced that the deadlines to enter the plant and animal exhibit categories have been extended.
The new deadlines are July 27, 2018, for the Plant Division and Aug. 3, 2018, for the Animal Division.
Registration forms are available at the Department of Lands and Natural Resources offices in Kagman and Lower Base, Office of Animal Health Services, the Garapan Public Market, and Northern Marianas College Cooperative Research Extension & Educational Services in Building F.
Those who would like to participate in the Youth Division category can pick up registration forms at the NMC CREES main office in As Terlaje.
Anyone interested in submitting an entry in any category or participating as a vendor can contact the following for more information: Plant Division, Joshua Santos, 256-3319; Animal Division, Juan Taman, 234-6169; Youth Division, Lorenza Aldan, 237-6876; and, Vendors Division, Tina DLG Camacho, 256-3319.
The 35th Saipan Agricultural Fair will be held at the Civic Center beach park on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, from 9am to 2pm. The event is being organized by the Saipan Agricultural Fair Association with support from DLNR and NMC-CREES. All members of the community are invited to attend.
Farmers, ranchers, and the public are also encouraged to attend the proclamation signing scheduled for July 30, 2018, at 10am at the Governor’s Office conference room on Capital Hill.
