The senior citizens on island will stick with their usual venue-the Aging Center-for their Halloween celebration.

“We will have it at the Aging Center because it’s a lot cooler,” said Aging program coordinator Walter Manglona. “It’s easier for them to change costumes here and the restroom is also convenient.”

The island’s elderly will have yet again a costume contest wherein man’amko wearing the most creative costumes will have the chance to win exciting prizes.

“I met with the council members and they agreed that there will be decorations and big prizes. We will also have small prizes donated by ourselves,” he said.

According to Manglona, he is already devising fun games and activities for the program. Every activity, he said, will allow the man’amko to use their senses and teach them important lessons.

“Whether to teach respect or promote a healthy lifestyle, there will be a purpose to every game and activity we have here,” said Manglona.

He said that they will also be soliciting prizes from the Legislature and private businesses.
