Agape Christian School kept its spot at the top half of the team standings in the 2019-2020 Public School System Interscholastic Boys High School Basketball League after dominating Mt. Carmel School 2, 32-12, last Tuesday at the Marianas High School Gymnasium.

Agape spread the wealth, drawing baskets from nine players to easily beat MCS 2 and improve its record to 5-2 for fourth place in the team standings in the 12-squad field.

Arthur Liang, Bobby Bao, Steven Wang, Eason Tang, and Kobe Fu combined for 23 points to help the Torchbearers rout the Knights, who had no player scoring more than one field goal.

KHS JV leads the elimination round so far with its 7-0 slate, followed by Saipan Southern High School (6-0), MCS Varsity (5-0), Agape, and Saipan International School (4-2).

SIS also played last Tuesday and bagged its fourth win after downing Da’ok, 31-19, in the first game on the north court. In the second game, KHS JV defeated MHS Varsity, 25-22, to remain unbeaten after seven matches and take the solo lead.

On the south court, MHS 3 also eked out a close win over MHS JV, 25-22, to snap its five-game losing skid, while MCS Varsity kept its perfect record in five games following a 38-18 triumph over KHS 3.

On the south court, the triple-header will feature MHS Varsity battling SIS in the first match, KHS Varsity squaring off against MCS 2 in the second tiff, and Agape taking on SIS in the last game.
