Organizers of the 2008 season of the Belau Amateur Softball Association men’s and women’s slow-pitch leagues will hold a meeting today at 6pm at Minatchom Atdao pavilion across from the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.

Managers and coaches of teams participating in the upcoming league are asked to attend today’s meeting since details of the season will be discussed.

BASA board member Brian Adelbai said they will be limiting the number of teams to 10 for men and six for women so they could have eight games played every Sunday.

Adelbai is reminding interested team managers and coaches to start preparing for their 2008 season, which is set to open tentatively in May.

The opening date is not yet settled and will be one of the issues to be discussed in the meeting.

BASA recently crowned Salty Boyz as its Masters league champion when they defeated PTI 83, 2-1, in the three-game finals series.

For more information, call Adelbai at 234-8438 or Ace Yoshida at 236-2549 and 483-2546.
