Three men were arrested and charged in federal court for trafficking methamphetamine hydrochloride or “ice” last December on Saipan.

Greggory Sablan Kalen, Lawrence Sablan Kalen, and Manuel Aldan Sablan were brought to the U.S. District Court for the NMI last Friday.

The three, who appeared with court-appointed lawyers, pleaded not guilty.

U.S. District Court for the NMI Chief Judge Alex R. Munson set the jury trial for June 30, 2008 at 9am.

Munson granted assistant U.S. attorney Eric O’Malley’s motion for no bail at this time for the defendants. He remanded them back into the custody of the U.S. Marshal.

According to the indictment, Greggory Kalen, also known as G, Goro, and Greggory Sablan Kani; Lawrence Kalen; and Manuel A. Sablan, also known as Manny Sablan, conspired to distribute “ice” on Dec. 1 to 13, 2007.
