A step toward stabilizing the CNMI

Hey Saipan: Check out the proposed Resident Foreign National Act that is being introduced in the NMI House of Representatives. I believe it is a positive step in stabilizing the CNMI. I believe when workers have incentive they will be more productive. It frustrates me when the contract laborers are put down and berated. They have been our accountants, teachers, trash collectors, baby sitters and caregivers. We do owe them. If they have the ability to move around and start businesses, it will only improve the CNMI. Businesses will come out of the woodwork, abused workers could move to other jobs and wages would increase. Labor complains would greatly be reduced. A competitive market improves us.

Please contact the folks on the hill for their support. It is past time of being afraid of contract workers. We all need to get trained, educated and a better work ethic to improve the CNMI.
