The three-day San Jose Fiesta Tennis Tournament kicks off next week in Tinian, which offers competition in four levels in five divisions.

Organized by the Tinian Tennis Association, competition will be held in the men’s and women’s singles and men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles in the open, 4.0, 3.0, and 2.0 levels.

Tournament director Sonny Decena is inviting Saipan netters to join them from May 1 to 3 in time for the San Jose Fiesta.

Registration fee is $10 for the first entry and $6 for the succeeding divisions. The deadline for sign up is at 6pm on April 27, Sunday, and the draw will be held on Tinian at 6pm the following day, April 28.

Trophies will be awarded to the Top 3 placers in all levels of all five divisions.

The tennis tournament is one of the 2008 Tinian Fiesta Committee’s programs for the annual Tinian Fiesta Sportsfest.

Aside from tennis, the Tinian Fiesta sports committee—headed by chairwoman Prince C. Monkeya—will also offer competitions in men’s and women’s volleyball, softball, and men’s basketball.
