Ol’Aces shut out Enforcers, 15-0
The Happy Market Ol’Aces scored a 15-0 shutout win over the JPO Enforcers in Sunday’s Majors division game in the Saipan Little League at the Miguel Basa “Tan Ge” Pangelinan Field.
Ol’Aces used an eight-run second inning scoring spree to break the game wide open and notch their ninth win against one loss.
T.J. Sablan pitched four no-hit innings with seven strikeouts and two walks. He held the Enforcers of Rep. Diego T. Benavente to a 0-for-12 in batting and needed just 60 pitches to complete the shutout win.
Shane Deleon Guerrero went 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBIs and a double while Jessie Brel, 2-for-2, scored a run and had two RBIs.
Survivors 11, Pirates 5
Poland Masaharu blasted a three-run inside-the-park home run to help the Martha’s Store Survivors pull off an 11-5 win over the Pirates.
Masaharu went 2-for-3 with two runs, and four RBIs. He belted a three-run four-bagger in the Survivors five-run third inning.
Vicente Cabrera went 2-for- with two runs and a double.
Dragons 13, McDonald’s 2
Juljean Ngeskebei pitched and batted her way to lift the San Antonio Dragons to a 13-2 win over Team McDonald’s.
Ngeskebei pitched five no-relief innings giving up six hits with four strikeouts and three walks. She then went 3-for-4 scoring one run with two doubles and two RBIs.
Angelo Jones went 2-for-2 with two runs and a double.
Twins 10, Hustlers II 6
The Wells Fargo As Matuis Twins ended their three-game losing skid with a 10-6 triumph over Hustlers II.
M.J. Sakisat only went 1-for-3 and scored one run but had a three-RBI triple in the Twins’ five-run fifth inning rally. Roke Tenorio went 2-for-4 and scored twice in the game.
Braves 11, Red Sox 0
On Saturday, B.J. Falig had his first career walk-off home run to help the AA Enterprises-TCC World Braves of Tanapag squeeze out an eight-inning 11-10 win over the Bank of Saipan Red Sox.
This was the second straight game that Falig homered after he also belted a homer in the Braves’ 15-1 win over the Twins last April 17.
Trailing 8-10 in the bottom of the eighth, Falig drove one over the fence to help the Braves complete their comeback win. Falig, who struck out twice before his homer, went 2-for-4 with four RBIs.
Ricky Joe Rengiil continued with his consistent hitting going 3-for-3 with one run while Nick Junior Jones went 2-for-5 with one run, a double, and two RBIs.
Little Lions 3, Dolphins 1
The Kagman Little Lions of Reps. Ed Salas and Rosmond Santos snapped out of a seven-game slump with a 3-1 triumph over the PTI Dolphins.
Keene Deleon Guerrero pitched 5.2 innings giving up eight hits with 10 strikeouts and no walks. He threw 86 pitches in the game.
Deleon Guerrero went 2-for-3 with one run, a triple, and an RBI while Cedric Ada went 2-for-3 with one run and a double.
Hustlers I 24, Suns 7
Raymund Saralu had a grand slam as the UMDA Hustlers I coasted to a 24-7 decision against the Shell Marianas Suns.
Saralu went 4-for-4 with four runs, two homers, a triple, and seven RBIs. He led off the first with a two-RBI triple then added a grand slam in his second at bat in the same inning.
Saralu also had a solo inside-the-park home run in the second and capped his plate appearance with a two-RBI triple in the third inning.
A.J. Lizama also homered going 2-for-2 with four runs, a triple, and six RBIs. He had a three-run inside-the-parker in the second then had a two-RBI triple in the third.
Joseph Borja went 3-for-3 with three runs, and a first inning two-RBI triple.
