COMO Magazine from Japan is on Saipan from April 17 to 19, to work on an article for its July issue, according to The Marianas Visitors Authority.

COMO is a monthly publication and is in its 17th year of publication with a circulation of 108,554 targeting housewives in their 30s and 40s. Inside the pages of COMO are topics on fashion, lifestyle, childcare and relationships. The July issue will feature the CNMI as a resort destination for families. The estimated value of the article is $80,000.

The team of five from COMO will visit Managaha Island, take a snorkeling trip, ride the Banana Boat, sightsee at Bird Island and will experience a show at Sandcastle Saipan. In addition, they will visit some hotels on Saipan and enjoy shopping and visiting the street market.

MVA cited Pacific Islands Club, Fiesta Resort & Spa, Tasi Tours, Saipan Botanical Garden, Sand Castle Saipan and Hard Rock Café for their support of this tour.

MVA managing director Perry Tenorio said: “The continued support from the Japanese media assists MVA in showcasing our destination to the outbound Japanese travel market.” (MVA)
