HAGATNA, Guam—Elusive Light Studios, a locally owned and operated music studio, recently donated brand new ukuleles to 10 students from J.P. Torres Alternative School in Santa Rita.

“This project aims to make a musical difference in the lives of the youth in our community,” said studio owner Edgar Flores.

According to Flores, funding for the project was raised from recent sales of the Studio’s Holiday CD compilation of local artists such as band members from The Kasuals, D.U.B., Fried Bananas, Patrick Palomo, Two Weeks Notice, The Service Entrance, Metal Daze, Acoustic Soul, Core and many more, released just last December.

In addition, the students were provided with ukulele lessons from JB’s Ukulele Hut as part of the donation.

Flores says, his vision would not have been made possible if not for the generous donations from sponsors such as, AK Toyota, Calvo’s Insurance, Hyatt, J’s Tees, Guam National Guard, Triple J, JB’s Ukulele Hut and its partnership with Big Fish Creative, Inc. (PR)
