The new water schedule in Oleai has prompted residents of the Oleai and San Jose villages to request the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation to extend the water rationing schedule or reinstate it to the afternoon hours daily.

Resident Melvin Faisao, in his letter to CUC executive director Anthony C. Guerrero said, “This new schedule is very unfair, bad enough that CUC did not take into consideration children who attends school and the early release and shut off of water is an uncalled and unjustifiable a bad decision.”

Faisao said the Oleai and San Jose villages have been receiving water from 2am to 4am and then he discovered that the water schedule had been revised from 3am to 4am after he spoke with two CUC Trouble Desk personnel on Saturday.

“Taken into consideration that pressurization of water into the pipes may take 20 minutes and at its peak pressure we may have 30 minutes only, since the water will be shut off at 4am,” said Faisao.

He says that he is still appealing for much longer hours, “If not reinstate the afternoon hours from 1pm to 6pm daily.”

He added that he is hoping that CUC may consider “appropriately addressing this concern by extending the water rationing schedule from 3am to 7am daily or reinstate the afternoon water rationing schedule.”

Faisao had written a letter to Lt. Gov. Tim Villagomez over a month ago regarding the water rationing schedule in both the villages.
