CNMI invited to join Masters caging in Guam
The CNMI Masters teams have been invited to join the 2008 World Masters Invitational Tournament from May 10 to 14 in Guam.
The tournament will have the Over-40, -45, -50, -60, and -70 as divisions. The CNMI will be sending three teams in the Over-40, -45, and -50. They will be competing against other Masters teams from Australia and host Guam.
Basketball Association of the Northern Mariana Islands president Elias Rangamar will coach the Over-40 team, while CNMI National basketball coach Rufino Aguon will handle the Over-45 squad.
Veteran referee and BANMI Referees Association vice president Arnold Mesa will call the shots for the 50-and-up team. A minimum of seven and a maximum of 12 players will be allowed in each team.
The three teams will be holding a team meeting on April 8, Tuesday, at 6:30pm at the Northern Marianas College Gymnasium in Fina Sisu.

The 2008 season of the Guam Masters League will open on May 17 after the tournament with the same age groups.
Guam is also inviting interested players or teams from the CNMI to join their Masters league. The tournament fee is $250 and the deadline of submission of entries and team rosters is on April 25.
