If the Porky’s Extremists and Jonny’s Destroyers won’t make a move, the Budweiser-SBA Open 8-Ball League title is in the bag for the SaipanCell-Krystal Perfect Spot Hustlers.

The final four weeks of competitions will be crucial for the three teams as every win and lose will gravely affect their standings and final placing in the 15-week league.

As of the moment, the SaipanCell- and Krystal bar-backed Hustlers have a league-best 65-12 record and enjoy a 4-game lead over the second-running Extremists (51-26), which in return hold a slim one-game advantage over the Destroyers. (50-27).

The Hustlers scored a 5-2 decision over USSP Watever with Erwin Gomez, Joey Lucido, Rowell Mariano, and Senen Pangelinan winning their respective matches against Ken Philips, Rick Rengiil, John Tutei, and Rose Philips without dropping a game in the singles events.

The Hustlers won four-out-of-five singles matches with Robert Sanciangco earning the lone loss when he dropped his assignment against Ed Munondoc.

The pair of John Ricaforte and Jerry Soriano also lost to Munondoc and Rengiil in the first doubles match. Mariano then teamed up with Gomez to beat Ken and Rose Philips in the other doubles pairing.

In other matches, Wild Wild West scored a 7-0 shutout win of the visiting Coral Reef Barracuda while the Destroyers, Krystal Perfect Spotters, and Coral Reef Shark Attack cruised to similar 6-1 decisions over Len’s 5 Bad Boyz, Wild Bill’s Snipers, and Mr. Wonderful Shooters.

Godfather’s Magas and the Extremists downed Len’s 5 Amigos and Porky’s Wild Hogs in similar 5-2 fashions.

Pacific Amusement, the same company that runs the leagues of the Saipan Electronic Darts Association, organizes the Budweiser SBA Open 8-Ball League.
