Air Force Airman Aniceto R. Ogumoro has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

During the six-week training, the 17-year-old airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.

In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Ogumoro is the son of Aniceto T Ogumoro and Victoria R. Ogumoro.

Ogumoro completed his credit hours at the Kagman High School before joining the Air Force team. He is also a 2007 graduate of Tinian Jr. and Sr. High School.

His parents had to sign a consent form to allow their son to join the Air Force because he is only 17.

The airman’s parents said they are very proud of their son for pursuing a career with Air Force “at such a very young age.”

“This a very big opportunity for our son. We are very happy for him and we are confident he will accomplish a lot,” the father said.
