DUI, sobriety checkpoints next week

The Department of Public Safety’s Traffic section will be conducting DUI/sobriety checkpoints on Friday and Saturday, April 11-12, next week.
On April 11, the first setup will be on Beach Road Garapan by Liberty Plaza. This operation will start at about 8pm and will end around 9:15pm.
The second setup will be on Chalan Pale Arnold Road by PTI. This will start at about 10:30pm and will end at 11:45pm.
The next day, April 12, the first setup will be on Beach Road Chalan Lau Lau by the late Dr. Kaipat’s residence. This operation will begin around 8:30pm and will end at about 9:45pm.
The second setup will be on Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Road by CUC Waterloo. This operation will begin around 10:30pm and will terminate at about 11:45pm.
Each checkpoint conducted will last at least 75 minutes (1 hour 15 minutes) at each location. This activity is part of the department’s efforts to deter and detect and ensure that all vehicle occupants are protected.
In addition, traffic officers will be conducting highway criminal interdictions, saturation patrols, aggressive driver interdictions, and laser activities.
