Payless Fridays and no paid holidays for the CNMI…wow! Does the government really save thousands of dollars by doing this? Who uses these funds then? CUC? Retirement? General Fund?

Kudos to the four Musketeers who did not vote for the passage of the bill. What is so bad about Rep. Tina Sablan’s proposal? I thought it was GREAT. It’s ironic how we read, hear, and see from the media that our government is really “strapped for cash” and yet they still manage to lease government vehicles. And let’s not forget the mobile phones! What’s next… rental homes for elected officials?

I suggest YOU, the rest of you elected officials try and come up with a better solutions. If giving up your car leases and mobile phones can make a difference, then do so. Good example, Rep. Heinz Hofschneider uses his own vehicle to work, even when he was in office years, years ago. Why can’t you do the same? Remember we are watching you!
