The truth and nothing but the truth

A “free” government consultant and a member of the Legislature are looking into possibilities of improving the status of long term alien residents. There are so many speculations and so many questions. But the most important question guest workers have to answer is “do we need this and could this be of help to me?”

A certain group of guest workers never stop seeking and looking for possible solutions to prevent the long-term alien residents from leaving the island during the transitional period before the federal government will finally take over in the CNMI.

Common sense would say that anyone who would offer such NMI residency knows that there’s no provisions in the CNMI constitution that prohibits amending or repealing any provisions.

A certain group of guest workers that is trying to look and explore the possibilities of this proposal don’t have any intention of going against federalization but rather is only seeking immediate help that most ordinary guest workers need.

The possible proposal for long term alien workers for NMI residency could be used as a tool to show the Feds that long-term alien workers are truly needed in the CNMI and should be given improved status, since U.S. Senate deleted this in their pending bill.

I would encourage all guest workers not to stop seeking and believing in all possibilities even as we are all excited to see that finally federalization in the CNMI will become a reality!
