Repair work on CUC engine nearly done
The repair on Engine No. 5 at Power Plant 1 was in its final stages and was expected to be completed and online yesterday afternoon. However, until such time the repairs are finalized, the power plant will continue to require load shedding due to the lack of available power generation.
As a result of these outages, water services will also be affected in the respective areas identified in the schedule below:
9:00am-11:00am Feeder 7: Entire Feeder
Lower Base, Tanapag, San Roque, As Matuis Homestead, and Marpi area
11:00am-1:00pm Kiya 1: Entire Feeder
Southern side of Chalan Kiya, As Terlaje, Northern parts of Fina Sisu, El Toro Dandan, Kanat Tabla, Airport Road, San Vicente, Dandan, Northern Marianas College, Obyan, Laulau, Papago, Botanical Garden south, Lower Dandan, Isley Field, CPA/Airport, and As Perdido
1:00pm-3:00pm Feeder 4: Entire Feeder
Portions of Lower Base, Sadog Tasi, Capitol Hill, Wireless Ridge, Denni, Agag, As Teo, Kagman, and portions of Papago
3:00pm-5:00pm Feeder 2: Entire Feeder
CPA Seaport, Boating Safety, American Memorial Park, Portions of Lower Base, Puerto Rico and Garapan (Micro Beach Hotels), Duty Free area and Bank of Guam along Beach Road
5:00pm-7:00pm Kiya 2: Entire Feeder
San Antonio, Afetnas, Southern Side of Koblerville and As Gonno
7:00pm-9:00pm Kiya 4: Entire Feeder
Chalan Kiya Substation, San Jose, Susupe, and Chalan Kanoa Post Office
As soon as the CUC is capable to provide sufficient electrical generation to meet the island’s demand, this schedule will no longer be required.
