Jam Attack serves up next weekend
The annual Jam Attack Indoor Volleyball Tournament returns for the 2008 season when games begin next weekend at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.
The three-day tournament will be held from April 4-6 where the men’s and women’s division titles are at stake.
There will be a captains meeting on Monday, March 31, where the final day of team sign ups will also be held at the Ada Gym conference room. There will be no last minute sign ups.
All team coaches or representatives are required to attend the meeting.
Last year, Guam teams used the Jam Attack as a warm up for the Pacific Games as their men’s and women’s squads dominated the three-day competitions.
Team Quality downed Isa Masters, 25-15, 26-24, in the women’s division, while Haggan squeezed out a 25-23, 25-19 win in the men’s.
Named Most Valuable Players in the men’s and women’s divisons were Brian Pangelinan and Francine Hoebing
A total of nine teams competed in the men’s division, while 18 battled for the women’s division title.
