SHRM announces upcoming scholarships
The CNMI Chapter of the Society of Human Resources Management Scholarship program will be awarding two lucky students with a $500 scholarship each this year.
Interested individuals will have one month to complete and submit their application by May 30, 2008. Applications will be available starting April 1 and more information will be made available to the community in the coming days.
Another scholarship for children of national members of the SHRM is also up for grabs, which will end May 15, 2008.
The SHRM Sons & Daughters Scholarship program helps finance education for the children of its members.
The program is independently managed by Scholarship America, a national, nonprofit education support and student aid service organization.
Aside from being a child of a national member of the SHRM, applicants must be high school seniors, high school graduates or first year college undergraduate enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time course of study at an accredited four-year college or university.
Awards are $1,500 each and may only be used for the first or second year or undergraduate only.
Some 24 scholarships of the SHRMN Sons & Daughters Scholarship Program are awarded annually.
