The CNMI Humanities Council is sponsoring a debate this Wednesday, March 26, as part of activities celebrating Covenant Day.

The debate will be held from 6:30pm to 8pm at the Visitors Center Theater of the American Memorial Park. It is free of charge.

Top student debaters in the junior high and high school divisions will debate the pros and cons of having non-U.S. citizens serve on CNMI juries.

The Council sponsors this event each year, in conjunction with the National Forensic League and Middle School Forensic League, to foster skills in research, critical thinking and debate and to allow students to examine important Covenant-related issues that affect life in the Commonwealth.
