Poker robbery again
A man, considered by police as armed and dangerous, staged a broad daylight robbery at a poker arcade in Sadog Tasi on Good Friday.
Department of Public Safety Commissioner Clyde K. Norita said yesterday that investigators were able to identify the suspect as Jesse Joseph Quitugua Saralu, also known as J.J. Saralu.
Norita said that police are now hunting down Saralu in connection with the robbery at Capitol Poker after the Superior Court issued an arrest warrant for him.
“Police are currently searching for him. Police are asking the general public for any information leading to the whereabouts of this man,” the commissioner said.
He said Saralu was identified as the sole suspect in the Capitol Poker robbery.
The suspect was reportedly last seen wearing a dark pair of shorts with white stripes on each side, a dark tank top and a baseball cap.
Saralu was described as 5’10” tall, with short black hair and brown eyes. He is known to drive a sky-blue Nissan Altima with license plate ABZ-148 and frequents Koblerville and Tanapag.
“Because of his prior criminal history, Saralu is considered armed and dangerous. If spotted, the public is asked not to approach the suspect but to immediately call 911 and give authorities his location and if in a vehicle, the description of the car he is operating, or riding in,” Norita said.
No other information was given.
Saipan Tribune learned that Saralu robbed Capitol Poker at 11am.
The sister of the Capitol Poker owner was hurt when the suspect allegedly assaulted her in the bathroom.
