‘Inetnon Familia ’08’ celebrates Continental’s 40th anniversary
HOUSTON—Hundreds of Continental Micronesia employees, former employees, retirees, former residents of the Micronesian islands and friends will be celebrating in Houston on April 12-13, Continental Micronesia’s 40th anniversary as the leading airline in the Pacific. A special island style fiesta is planned in Houston to add to the fun and to get more people together who are far from home.
The first event is a Masters Weekend Golf Tournament which is a fundraiser for the big fiesta. This event takes place on Saturday, April 12, at Tour 18 beginning at 12:30pm. Single player fees are $125 and a foursome is $460. Package includes green fees, cart, range balls, lunch, one month membership to four golf courses, special competition prizes and lots more. There will also be a raffle drawing and silent auction to help raise additional funds. Dinner and awards presentation to follow the golf tournament. Details can be found on www.airmikefiesta.com.
The main event is on Sunday, April 13, at Alexander Deussen Park starting at 9am with the Island Fiesta. This fiesta will bring the island culture, friendship and more importantly, food to Houston. Tickets for the main event are $20 for adults and $10 for children 2 – 12 years of age. Tickets can be purchased on www.airmikefiesta.com.
