ADA celebrates 26th anniversary

Share

July 26, 2016, is the 26th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA has changed the lives of many persons with disabilities in the CNMI, protecting against discrimination in employment, public accommodations and services, transportation, and voting, to name only a few. The people and businesses of the Commonwealth have generally embraced the protections afforded by the ADA. We can now celebrate the past 26 years of the ADA and look forward to the future.

If you or a family member has a disability and needs assistance, please contact the Northern Mariana Islands Protection and Advocacy Systems, Inc. (NMPASI) whose mission is to protect the civil, legal and human rights of individuals with disabilities.
