The Division of Environmental Quality has raised the green flag on Managaha Island after water samples collected from the island’s beaches and dock showed no excessive concentrations of fecal indicator bacteria.

DEQ analyzed water samples collected from Managaha’s recreational beaches and dock this week as part of the regularly scheduled sampling. None of the sampling collected contained excessive concentrations of fecal indicator bacteria nor did they exceed the CNMI Marine Water Quality Standards. Therefore, DEQ assigns all of the sampled beach sites a Green flag. Enjoy our waters.

DEQ analyzed a total of 11 samples from the shore surrounding Managaha this week. For more information, call DEQ at 664-8500. (PR)
