Argument leads to domestic violence
An argument as to who should sleep on the bed led to an alleged domestic violence incident.
Raymond Kisa Aguon, 27, was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon, and two counts of disturbing the peace.
The Superior Court initially imposed a $6,500 cash bail for Aguon’s temporary liberty.
A bail hearing was set Wednesday afternoon before Superior Court Associate Judge David Wiseman.
Detective Juan C. Mendiola stated in his report that on Tuesday between 9 to 10pm, the victim went into the bedroom of their residence in Chalan Kiya.
Aguon instructed his wife to sleep on the couch in the living room because he was occupying the bed.
The wife refused. The defendant allegedly started kicking her off the bed. Aguon then allegedly placed his hands on his wife’s neck. She, however, pushed him.
The defendant allegedly took a large knife in the kitchen and gave it to his wife. He then grabbed a smaller knife and challenged her to a duel, according to court papers.
Fearing for her life, the wife ran outside the house and sought help from her mother-in-law who was staying near their residence.
Responding police officers later arrested Aguon. [I][B](Ferdie de la Torre)
