Shell lowers gas prices anew
Shell Marianas lowered its gasoline prices by 6 cents a gallon effective today.
Ruben Domingo, president of Shell Guam said the price rollback is due to reduced production cost of oil in the regional market.
“Since our last price decrease, the market cost of Shell’s supply has continued to reduce and we will pass these savings on to our customers,” he said in a statement.
He said the price at Shell stations for unleaded gasoline and premium will decrease by six cents a gallon.
As a result, Shell’s regular unleaded gasoline will now sell at $3.189 for full-serve and $3.059 for self-serve.
Premium gasoline will now be sold at $3.349 for full-serve and $3.238 for self-serve.
No price reduction of diesel fuel was announced for today.
Diesel is currently sold at $3.429 per gallon.
Shell Marianas began its series of price rollbacks in early September.
Shell first reduced its pump prices for gasoline and diesel by up to 7 cents a gallon, then by 10 cents for regular and premium gasoline.
In late September, it reduced its prices further for regular and premium gas by 10 cents and diesel by 5 cents.
In October, it implemented another 10-cent decrease for regular and premium gas and 5 cents for diesel.
Two weeks ago, it announced another 10-cent price reduction per gallon.
Shell Marianas made its last price increase—by 7 cent per gallon—last August.
