The Marianas Visitors Authority recently selected Tasia Bocago as the recipient of the Employee of the Quarter award.

Bocago is currently a clerk/receptionist for the administrative division at MVA. She is tasked with various administrative duties, including answering all incoming phone calls, responding to all incoming inquiries from abroad, assisting with the courier duties and managing all incoming visitors that come through the doors of MVA.

Outside of her daily duties, she assists with other MVA events. Most recently, she volunteered for the Tournament of Champions and she is now the team captain for the Saipan Chamber of Commerce’s upcoming Corporate Challenge.

Bocago was awarded this recognition for her outstanding performance within her division. Her good attendance, positive working relationship with others and her excellent team spirit made her an easy selection. She continues to develop her knowledge, skills and abilities in order to excel in her position by taking training courses relevant to her position.

Additionally, she is taking college courses at the Northern Marianas College after working hours, studying toward completing an associates degree in Criminal Justice.

“Ms. Bocago has a positive attitude when it comes to her work and she takes pride in the work that she does,” said Polly Deleon Guerrero, personnel specialist for MVA. “Taking initiative can come as a challenge to some employees, but Ms. Bocago has definitely gone the extra mile to get things done.”

MVA offers an incentive for individual motivation towards providing quality service, increasing productivity, job knowledge and skills. The program recognizes outstanding performance and employee contribution towards meeting MVA’s goals and objectives. As the employee of the quarter, Ms. Bocago received a certificate of recognition and $100. [B][I](PR)
