Well-known mix martial arts fighter Cuki Alvarez is not only organizing the next Trench Warz, but he is also training for another fight in Fury.

Alvarez, who announced during last month’s “Trench Warz IV: Enter the Octagon” that he would be fighting in the event on Guam, disclosed details of his fight yesterday and announced that Slade “Rage” Adelbai will be fighting in the event as well.

Alvarez , who holds a 4-0 win-loss card in mix martial arts and a 2-0 record in no holds barred fights, will be facing Eric Santos of Cobra Kai Guam.

Alvarez said Santos enters with a 2-0 record and is an island-wide ju-jitsu champion in the 160-lb. weight class on Guam.

“I think this will be my toughest challenge to date,” Alvarez said during an interview.

Meanwhile, Adelbai, who sports a 4-1 record, will be fighting in a four-man heavyweight challenge. Details of the battle are still being finalized.

The fight was originally scheduled for Dec. 2, but has been moved to Dec. 9 at the University of Guam Fieldhouse.

Alvarez said he has been training for the fight and is looking forward to the experience.

Twice a week he engages in valetudo training, which is similar to a real fight. It consists of three five-minute rounds in the cage.

“That’s as close to a real fight as you can get without really getting hurt,” he said. “I also focus on mitts twice a week, and do a lot of cardio training.”

Alvarez is coming off a first round victory over Guam’s Joey Taijeron early last month in the Fury Fighting Islands Western Pacific Invitational.

He also defeated Guam’s Joey Lopez in an exhibition grappling match in “Fury III” in Saipan, then made his pro fight debut in “Fury IV: Collision” on Guam last Dec. 10, and was able to Billy Ray Ada by technical knockout.

Adelbai is coming off a victory over Tony “Xcalibur” Nekaifes in “Trench Warz IV.”

He defeated John Rasiang in “Trench Warz: Fight Night,” and followed it up with another referee stoppage victory over Paul Iginoef in “Trench Warz: Caged In.” He then defeated Charleston Aiken in “Trench Warz: Commotion” last May.

His only loss came in Fury last month at the hands of veteran Manny “The Enforcer” Chong.
