‘Trench Warz IV’ thrills fans left and right
Over 1,000 spectators filled the Royal Taga Hall of the Saipan World Resort for last Saturday’s “Trench Warz IV: Enter the Octagon,” and all were satisfied with the action from beginning to end.
So wild and into the action was the crowd that the roof nearly blew off each time the fans roared in awe and support of the mix martial arts fighters that tested their skills.
When all the smoke cleared and the octagon was being taken apart after the main event, fans began to express their satisfaction.
“You know what, it was worth the money I used to buy my ticket,” said 23-year-old Calvin Sablan. “Me and my friends got our tickets early, and we’ve been waiting for this and now that its over, I just want more.”
Another MMA fan, Frank Guerrero of San Vicente, explained that while all the fights were very entertaining, there were several that he would remember for quite a while.
“I had a blast,” he said. The fights were good, but the ones that I really liked were Jay Muna facing Art Reyes and Giovanni Sablan and [Chris] Lorenzo from Guam because those fights were pretty even. But the one that I liked the best was when Frank [Camacho] beat [Troy] Munoz from Guam. Saipan pride, buddy…Frank is the man.”
Also having a memorable time was Justin James, who like many others, was wowed by the octagon.
“This time with the octagon, it’s good,” he said. “It’s the real thing and the fighters had a lot of space and are still caged in,” he said.
Two individuals, Kelvin Tidds and Hanson Johnson, were also blown away with the fights, but more so on other individuals that entered the octagon.
“That was a lot of fighting. But those ring girls…Trench should make another fight really soon and bring them again,” they said.
“Trench Warz IV” caught the attention of many and talks about the competition are still fresh on the streets with everyone having their opinions on the spectacular fights that happened.
