Kich Fairo-Ballers match to conclude today

The battle between Kich Fairo and Ballers will conclude today at the Marianas High School Gymnasium.

The match, which opens the 2006 World Organized Rocball Community League, was supposed to be concluded yesterday. However, the two teams were not able to take the court as the official score sheet was unavailable.

With that, the two teams will battle to determine which team will pick up the first win of the season as the match is scheduled to begin at 12:55pm.

Kich Fairo won the first two sets played on Wednesday and enter today’s session leading by 21 points, 34-13.

Kich Fairo won the first set with ease, 17-2, and had a bit of trouble in the second set but still prevailed with a 17-11 victory.

Kich Fairo was leading, 5-0, in the third set when time expired. The game resumes with Typhoon Saito of Kich Fairo serving.

Dean Mathew currently leads Kich Fairo with seven points on a goal, an ace, and a kee, while Zerolyn Fiden and J.R. Hartman each have six points, with Fiden hitting three aces and Hartman smashing an ace and two kees.

Robert Naraja leads the Ballers with four points on a xunk and a kee, while Nate Mateo has three points from his goal.

Rocball action continues on Monday with defending champion Mwaliyas taking on Caropinos. The Dublan Chiefs face 670’s Finest on Wednesday, Oct. 25, while Black Magic and Da Lani Kyned battled on Oct. 30. The final game of round one will be on Nov. 1 between Watch & Learn and Bwibwiis.
