Invitation to participate in public library project

The Library Friends Children of Our Homeland Project at the Joeten/Kiyu Public Library will be conducting several activities under a grant from the Administration for Native Americans:

* Translation of books (English to Chamorro and/or Carolinian)

* Printing of books suitable for children, young adults and adults written in Chamorro or Carolinian, or in English if the theme is related to Chamorro/Carolinian cultures.

* Projects dealing with TV/Radio programming or video productions depicting the two cultures suitable for the general public and the schools.

* Production of art and crafts from the CNMI and other Pacific entities.

* Cultural activities/workshops/seminars in the community or schools.

* Presentations at the Children’s Center on themes related to the two cultures.

The project is also seeking illustrators or computer graphic artists.
