Saipan Mayor Juan B. Tudela is inviting all residents to the yearly “Make-a-Difference Day” walk-a-thon on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006.

The event is a collaborative effort of the Saipan Mayor’s Office, Point of Light Foundation and USA Weekend.

T-shirts will be given to those who pledge $10 or more.

This year’s proceeds will go toward helping disabled residents “who are less active than us, and who live by themselves without the help of someone they love,” according to a statement from the Mayor’s Office.

The walk-a-thon will start at 7am from Minachom Atdao pavilion up to the intersection of Quartermaster. Registration starts at 5:30am. [B][I](PR)
