The Filipino Community Church, which played host to its Inaugural Inter-Color Basketball League the past couple of months, is already eyeing the start of its second season.

This according to league official Rev. Noel Puno, who said during a recent interview that officials are looking to start the season sometime in October, with the championship possibly to be held on December.

While Puno is already excited about the second season, he did not forget to express appreciation to the sponsors, who played a big part in making the inaugural season a success.

Among those who extended their support to the league include Coca Cola Beverage Co., Calvary International Mission, D&Q Saipan, Saipan Ocean View Hotel, Modern Stationary, and long-time basketball official Abner Venus.

A total of eight teams competed in the recently concluded league, which came to a close on Monday when Ezekiel defeated Jeremiah, 69-66, at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium. Other teams that competed include Nehemiah, Daniel, Gideon, Isaiah, Joshua, and Caleb.

As reported earlier, center Marlon De Dios of Ezekiel won the most valuable player trophy after leading his team to claiming the title, while John Rhei of Joshua won the three-point shootout.

Nehemiah was also recognized and won the sportsmanship award.

All teams were recognized for participating in the league, and each received a certificate, which served as a token of appreciation from league officials.
