For the seventh time this year, Shell Marianas increased its pump prices by another 8 cents per gallon effective dawn today.

“It is unfortunate that oil products continue to be traded in the region at record high,” said Guam-based Shell Marianas president Ruben Domingo yesterday.

He said the latest round of price hike took effect beginning 12:01am on June 1.

“The prices at Shell stations of all fuel grades will move upwards by 8 cents a gallon,” he said.

This means that fuel products will be sold at the following rates a gallon:

Regular gasoline

Full-serve – $3.589

Self-serve – $3.459

Premium:

Full-serve – $3.749

Self-serve – $3.629

Diesel gasoline sells at $3.619 per gallon.

This came barely two weeks after Shell implemented its latest price increase of 8 cents.

Domingo said that rate increases are inevitable in view of continued increases of fuel prices in the international market. He said the company needs to adjust its rates “to maintain alignment with our supply cost.”
