HOPWOOD’S ALOHA SUMMER BASH

The 2005-2006 Hopwood Jr. High School Student Council presents the 1st Annual Aloha Summer Bash on Saturday, June 3, 2006 from 6pm to 10pm at the school’s stage area.

Tickets are $15 for singles and $25 admits two, buffet dinner included. All incoming 7th graders from feeder schools are welcome to participate.

Purchase tickets from Carmen Sablan by Wednesday, May 31, 2006 before 5:30pm in room V-9 to be added to the list.

Tickets will also be sold at the door, but prices will vary. Only 300 tickets available so don’t miss out!

The ONLY high school students that will be allowed on campus are those who were just promoted on May 24, 2006 or a Hopwood student on June 2, 2006. Free giveaways! Limbo competition! Coconut Husking Contest! Raffle every 10 minutes! Win CASH Prizes!!! Join us as we celebrate the start of summer with the hot beats with DJ Julio!! May 31 12:30-3:30pm Graduation Practice at American Memorial Park.

June 1 12:30-3:30pm Graduation Practice at American Memorial Park.

June 2 12:30-3:30pm Graduation Practice at American Memorial Park.

June 3 3:00-6:30pm Commencement Exercise at American Memorial Park. Graduating students need to report by 2:30pm.

June 2 Last day of school.

Also, school administration is asking all parents to update and turn in each child’s registration form. The form asks for information such as student name, parents information, and contact numbers.

June 3 StuCo Summer Bash, sponsored by StuCo. From 5pm to 9pm at HJHS. $15 for singles. Price includes barbecue dinner, one drink, and admission fee. Also, chances to win prizes and giveaways. Limbo contests, coconut husking competition. Limited to HJHS students and incoming 7th graders. Incoming 7th graders must purchase their tickets in advance to be placed on the list. Admission strictly enforced. Call 237-3480 for reservations or more information. This event is limited to the first 300 students. Feeder school staff and parents may call to volunteer to help chaperone this event.

In an effort to coax all 8th grade students to attend school after their Promotion Ceremony, the actual Promotion certificates will be distributed Friday, June 2nd, along with the report cards.

Friday, June 2nd is a half-day of school. Lunch will be served from 11:30 to 12:30 and students will be dismissed at 12:30pm.

Seventh graders have regular school on Wednesday, May 24. (PR)

FRAMINGHAM REGISTRATION ONGOING

Registration is now open for ongoing students in the Framingham State College Master of Education program. Students must register by May 31, 2006, to enroll in the courses scheduled from June 3-14, 2006. Total amount due for both courses are $1,132 for Cohort 3 and $1,105 for Cohort 4, plus a $40 facilitation fee for each course for both cohorts. The textbooks and pre-course assignments are now available. In order to meet graduation requirements, full payments for both courses are due upon registration.

HEAD START BEGINS OPEN REGISTRATION

The CNMI Head Start Program is announcing its open registration for school year 2006-2007. The program provides services for 3 and 4 year old children and their families.

Registration is being held at the Head Start Program Office on Capitol Hill, from 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.

San Antonio: pm session only
