Some 15 pre-Kindergarten pupils of the Saipan Seventh-Day Adventist’s Child Development Center sang, recited from memory, and danced during an end-of-the-year ceremony on Sunday that saw their passage to the next level of their educational journey.

With families, relatives and friends in attendance, the pre-school graduation was held at the Seventh-Day Adventist Center, and was recorded for posterity by camcorder-wielding parents who seemed more excited and nervous than the children themselves.

SDA school principal Barbara L. Maycock opened the ceremony by congratulating the pupils on their progress, then stepped out of the way as the children seemed to fall all over themselves trying to show the audience what they’ve learned throughout the school year.

At one point, the school’s toddler class conducted a demonstration on how well they’ve learned, with the children being asked questions about the Bible, and the kids excitedly shouting out their responses, like a scene straight from Sesame Street.

The children later performed Chica-chica, Boom-boom as the graduating class song.

The pre-school graduates of 2005-2006 were Erika Bargamotov, Wiltun Cabrera, Leiana Castro, Ainah Chargualaf, Haruya eda, Tyler Flores, Kate Ishida, Narissa Kani, Goodman Kloulechad, Ellen Lee, Cody Leon, Jonah Pohl, Mimi Sakano, Carl Anthony Taylor, and Carol Young Suh.
